Trial Management

Free trials in Appilot are credit-based, not time-based. Users receive a one-time credit grant that they can use at their own pace.

Granting Trials (Platform Admin)​

  1. Navigate to the Waitlist page in Platform Admin
  2. Review pending access requests
  3. Click Approve on a request
  4. The approval dialog shows a Grant Free Trial checkbox (enabled by default)
  5. Set the number of trial credits (default: 20)
  6. Click Approve to grant access and credits simultaneously

Tracking Trials​

The Trials page in Platform Admin shows all granted trials with:

  • Credits granted, used, and remaining
  • Trial status (Active or Exhausted)
  • Date of grant

Re-Granting Credits​

If a trial user needs more credits:

  1. Go to the Trials page
  2. Find the user and click Re-grant
  3. Enter the additional credit amount
  4. Credits are added to their existing balance

Converting to Paid​

When ready to enable payments for a trial user, assign a paid plan from the Organization Detail page. The user's existing credit balance carries over.
